The Company was formed in 1994, the year in which the Diavik Diamond Mine was discovered.
In 2013, the Company divested Harry Winston Inc., its luxury brand business segment, and acquired a controlling interest in the Ekati Diamond Mine, taking on the new name of Dominion Diamond Corporation. In 2017, the Company became a part of the Washington Companies, under the name of Dominion Diamond Mines.

2007 | The Company changes its name from Aber Diamond Corporation to Harry Winston Diamond Corporation and lists on the New York Stock Exchange. |
2012 | The Company announces agreement to purchase the Ekati Diamond Mine. |
2013 | The Company divests Harry Winston Inc. and acquires a controlling interest in the Ekati Diamond Mine, taking on the new name Dominion Diamond Corporation. |
2017 | The Company becomes a part of the Washington Companies, under the name of Dominion Diamond Mines. |
